OFFICIAL CONGRESS EVENT – SWISS EVENING
Monday, May 14, 2012, 18:00 – approx. 23:00
Location: St. Jakob Park
Price: EUR 65,-
Spend an unforgettable evening at the football stadion “The Joggeli”, home of the actual Swiss football Champion, FCB. The stadion is reached by public tramways from the Congress Center. The “Joggeli” is the biggest football stadion in Switzerland and offers places for over 40’000 persons. It was one of the 4 stadions used during the European Championship in 2008. The football Club of Basel, FCB, is the most famous, prestigious and popular football club of Switzerland. Since 2009, Torsten Fink was its successfull trainer (unfortunately he just left during the season and is actually replaced by Heiko Vogel). Fink won the double in his first year already (cup and championship). No town in Switzerland is as “crazy” about its football-team than Basel. Enter the stadion by the tunnel with the music of the champions League, visit the backstage of the team, let you inspire with the air of competition, of glory and despair, or – on the overall - of success. Dinner will be served in the Premium Lounge, where usually the VIP’s are entertained at the matches – feel like a VIP, enjoy dinner and ...enjoy the grand old man of Jazz, George Gruntz. He is one of the world most famous Jazz composer. The George Gruntz Concert Jazz Band was founded in 1972, many outstanding concerts in various formations were performed and recorded, its latest is called “Matterhorn matters” – Swiss Jazz music at its best. George Gruntz will appear with one of his collegues of the band, let you inspire by his fire on the piano, by his sublime melodies and by his lifelong experience as a Jazz man – meet him and forget surgery for an evening of Jazz! The evening will end with “Max Lässer and the Ueberlandorchestra”, a very special musical formation, that combines traditional Swiss dance music with modern sounds. We expect a jam session of those two musicians and their bands, as they know each other personally – a musical highlight at a medical congress. Let them entertain you at the end of the Swiss evening and dance with “MaxLässer and the Ueberlandorchestral” – into the night.
